Reentry Strategies creates solution orientated strategies to help incarcerated and formerly incarcerated men and women abandon destructive behaviors, reckless lifestyles and poor decision making. Our strategies are cognitive behavioral based, educational, life skill building tools, workshops, presentations and multimedia content that emphasizes positive/critical thinking, preparedness, conflict resolutions, problem solving, communication, healthy relationship building, positive attitude adjustment and more. These are powerful tools for correctional educators, reentry counselors, probation/parole officers, reentry programs, and prison ministry to help them meet the goal of helping people properly prepare for a successful life after prison or after meeting their court ordered supervision.
Randy Kearse is founder and CEO of “Reentry Strategies (RES)”. The concept for RES was created while he was serving a 15-year sentence in federal prison for a nonviolent drug offense. While serving his sentence and repaying his debt to society Randy had a growing desire to live and experience a better quality of life; which he knew could not be obtained through the lifestyle that led him to prison.
During his incarceration Randy quickly discovered if he wanted to change, he'd have to take the responsibility to rehabilitate himself into his own hands, because rehabilitative programming in the FBOP was either outdated, not created by people who shared his life experiences, or rehabilitation programs were non-existent. After years of internal soul searches, reflection, and coming to face-to-face with his own personal truths, Randy was able to create, develop and implement a strategy that helped him reach the ultimate goal of change and successful transition from prison back to his family, community and society.
Mr. Kearse is a successful author, content creator, motivational speaker and reentry advocate. He single handedly sold over 80,000 copies of his critically acclaimed book, Changin' Your Game Plan: How I used Incarceration as a stepping stone for SUCCESS. The positive impact his inspiring journey of change has had on readers, laid the groundwork for him to create reentry program materials.
Randy strongly believes one of the solutions to reducing recidivism lies in the ability to change the way people think. Randy says,"I was in prison mentally, way before I went to prison physically. Once I was able to change my thinking, I was able to change my life. Now I show people how to free themselves from that mental prison, while doing time in a physical one."
